Goals:
- To explore the objectives within the computing curriculum that apply specifically to coding
- To analyse key terminology and how this translates to the classroom
- To explore what computational thinking looks like for teachers and learners
- To provide an introduction to the resources that Discovery Education Coding can offer in addition to off line activities
Outcomes:
- An awareness of what is included in the Computing curriculum
- An understanding of the key terminology and the objectives that apply specifically to coding
- An understanding of what computational thinking looks like and how it can be integrated in the classroom
- An awareness of the resources available in Discovery Education Coding and how these can be used to support the requirements of the computing curriculum

3 hour course
Goals:
- To understand through practical application, the coding objectives of the new curriculum, the key terminology and what computational thinking looks like
- To look at the resources that Discovery Education coding can offer in addition to relevant off line activities
Outcomes:
- An understanding of how coding can be taught within and beyond the computing curriculum and how to apply computational thinking to the classroom
- An awareness of Discovery Education Coding and how to use this within your school and classrooms
