On 4th September, Espresso Coding will offer an interactive, live stream event designed to support head and classroom teachers across the UK building their confidence and helping them feel prepared to teach Coding. Espresso Education, which is now Discovery Education, will offer this live stream as the final instalment of the Espresso Coding Summer Camp, a free programme with Coding advice and activities to empower teachers with the knowledge to deliver the new curriculum, and to equip pupils with the critical thinking and problem solving skills necessary to be competitive in the digital age.

During the live stream, Max Wainewright, the creator of Espresso Coding, will be running an interactive session on coding. He will be expanding on elements covered during the Coding Summer Camp, giving teachers an opportunity to see coding in action and shortening the learning curve for teaching students this new concept. At the end of the session, the worldwide audience will have the chance to pose questions to Max during a live Q&A.

The 6-week Espresso Coding Summer Camp included a detailed walkthrough of features and functions of Espresso Coding, explored the Coding elements of the National Curriculum, and offered step-by-step guides, lesson plan ideas and example activities to excite and engage pupils. Over 1,200 schools across the UK are currently enrolled in the Espresso Coding Summer Camp. Discovery Education is offering their highly-acclaimed Espresso Coding, a digital programme designed to teach pupils to code and create their own apps, at no cost to schools until 31st October 2014.

The session will be streamed live at www.espressocoding.co.uk.
