The Wonde integration helps teachers easily create, share and assign engaging lessons, interactive resources and create quizzes and learning tasks, or share content with a URL link into Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom. Studio – Discovery Education’s latest update also includes a redesign of the powerful Studio tool, which helps educators engage pupils and adds flexibility to teaching. These updates let teachers and pupils build content boards and new Studio slideshows to create their own presentations, home learning tasks, and quizzes by bringing resources directly from Discovery Education Espresso into lessons and allowing pupils to safely create and collaborate in one dynamic platform. Content – Among the collections recently added to Discovery Education Espresso are new channels to help teach current topics, including the US presidential election, viruses and outbreaks, and the recent Mars missions. These engaging videos help teachers to bring the real world into learning using age-appropriate resources. And to further support the core maths content available on Espresso, a new Times table tests channel helps teachers check pupils’ skills using ready-made digital assessments which can be assigned to individuals or groups. Home Learning – As educators continue to support pupils who are learning both in the classroom and at home, Discovery Education has curated a number of ideas, templates and assessments to support children’s learning when they are away from the classroom in the Home learning channel. This also includes support for using the Daily and Weekly news content for remote learning to help teachers easily set effective and interesting tasks that combine learning about current events with literacy objectives and facilitate discussion.
